About Jordan
Jordan Jones
For Ward 6 Macdonald Council
A husband, father and local business owner.
I'm Jordan Jones — a husband, father and local business owner. I am a born and raised Manitoban - born in Winnipeg and raised in rural settings. I am a University of Manitoba graduate completing my Bachelor of Arts: Integrated Studies with a Concentration in Management. I have a certificate distinctions from the Canadian Institute of Management and Administration (CIM) and Human Resource Management (HRM) from the University of Manitoba, Continuing Education. I believe in being a lifelong learner and never afraid to try something new. I’ve spent the last 13 years as President and C.E.O. of eCom Customer Care leading a team of approximately 150 employees. We are a BPO – Business Process Outsourcing company – a fancy way of saying we help represent other businesses through Customer Care, Marketing, Finance, IT Support, Social Media and really anything our clients need. The best part of my job – no day is ever the same. Every day, I look to find problems that require solving to make our organization more efficient, streamlined, and deliver the exceptional results our clients expect from us. In addition to my day-to-day responsibilities, I currently sit on four different Board Associations where I provide leadership, direction and support. In short, I provide leadership and vision each and every day – completing projects, getting products to market, and driving results and values for our clients. My wife and I have called Oak Bluff home for the last five years. We love everything about our community - our neighbors, our green spaces, our home and our proximity to the City of Winnipeg – all the services nearby without the hustle and bustle and massive tax bill that comes with living in the big city. We welcomed our daughter in 2024 after a long fertility journey and expecting a little boy any day now. My “why” is my family – caring, loving, and providing for them – is my daily motivation. When I am not hard at work, I'm an avid cyclist with a goal to one day complete and compete in a half ironman. I enjoy spending my time in nature whether that's on the golf course or in a boat chasing fish. I'm a diehard Packers fan - Why enter politics? I want to take my private sector experience and deliver for the community that I’ve fallen in love with. I want to make Oak Bluff the best possible community for families to raise their children and for Seniors to live-in-place for years to come. I want our community to maintain it’s character and to grow sustainably. To be clear - government isn’t business and can’t be run as such. I want to recognize that. Government moves slower often out of necessity - ensuring that public consultation occurs, stakeholder feedback assessed, and equal opportunity for voices to be heard. What skills are transferable? • Relationship Building • Process Development • Policy Creation & Management • Financial Planning I look forward to meeting you at the door.
Why I'm running
I represent change from the status quo - I'm business-minded, family-oriented and at the same stage of life as many of my neighbors with young families. I’m running for Councilor to ensure our community grows sustainably, to protect the vision of Oak Bluff, and ensure we have first-rate facilities for our community. I want to ensure our community has a voice that is heard. While I cannot promise any particular outcome, what I can promise is relentless effort and advocacy on your behalf.
Want to connect? Let's talk, text, or e-mail. I want to hear what you think about our community.
"Our home. Our character. Our future."
